This collection of graphic images is the result of my desire to understand the variation in design and colors common to Dine' textiles. These design elements, as I learned, are not random but rather reveal a linear evolution directly related to the materials available to the Dine' people during various times in history, the influence of early Hispanic populations on Dine' aesthetics, and the ability of the Dine' people to adapt to the preferences of Anglo-Euorpean consumers during more modern times.
